Decode My Treatment Plan

Understand your estimate, line by line

Enter the procedure codes and quoted fees from a written treatment plan. We explain each one in plain English and suggest questions worth asking.

Everything you enter stays in your browser — nothing is saved, sent or shared. Please don't enter your name, date of birth or other identifying details. Document upload is intentionally not available yet.

What your numbers raise

Checks on how the lines fit together — questions to ask the office, not proof of a billing error.

Add the fee the office quoted for each line and this section starts working: it totals your plan, shows how much each line is, flags items that are usually included in another fee, and hands the whole plan to the insurance calculator.

Before you agree to treatment

  • Ask for the plan in writing, with codes and fees for every line — you can compare it here or with another office.
  • Ask which items are essential now and which can wait.
  • Ask what your insurance is expected to pay, and get a pre-treatment estimate from your insurer for large plans.
  • A second opinion is normal for expensive treatment plans and most dentists support it.
